Entry requirements

Undergraduate

We require a Ylioppilastutkinto / studentexamen (matriculation examination) when awarded after three years of study.

Postgraduate

We require the six year Kandidaatti/Kandidat - Ekonomi, Diplomi-insinööri, Arkkitehti, Lisensiaatti, Proviisori (Before 1996) OR the Maisteri/Magister (higher academic degree, min. 160 credits/5 years) OR the three year Kandidaatti/Kandidat (post-2005). Scale for all qualifications:

Degree preparation courses at the International College

If you complete your pathway course at the International College at the required level, you are guaranteed entry to a degree at the University of Brighton. Available degree subject areas include accounting and finance, art and design, business management, law with business, and many more.

If you're looking for a little taste of home when you're in Brighton, you can check out Fika By The Sea for some delicious Scandinavian pastries, or you can jump on a quick train to London and check out Scandi Kitchen, or you can head to Nordic Bar near Oxford Street for a great night out with friends.

There are also a number of societies you can get involved with where you can find like-minded people with similar interests which gives you the opportunity to be involved in society events to help you ease into student life and get familiar with the city. If you can't find a society that suits your interests then you can start your own society!

Whether you are studying an undergraduate degree or adding to your existing qualifications with a masters’ course, it's important to think about how you will use your time at university and your degree course to help you find your job when you graduate.
