Academic equivalencies
Undergraduate
We require a Baccalauréat General or Baccalauréat Technique plus an international foundation year or equivalent.
Postgraduate
We require a bachelor’s degree from the American University of Beirut OR a Maitrise (Equivalent to a British bachelor’s degree) OR a Diplôme d'Etudes Supérieures / Approfondies (Equivalent to a British master’s degree).
There is considerable variation in the types of award offered at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Lebanon. Some institutions offer French-style awards such as the Licence and Maitrise, while others offer US-style bachelor’s and master’s programmes and others offer a combination of the two.

Degree preparation courses at the International College
If you complete your pathway course at the International College at the required level, you are guaranteed entry to a degree at the University of Brighton. Available degree subject areas include accounting and finance, art and design, business management, law with business, and many more.

Immigration and visas
Generally, students coming from Lebanon require prior entry clearance (ie a visa). To obtain a visa you will need to have an unconditional offer of a place at the University of Brighton and your CAS number from the university. You will need to prove that you have the funds to pay your tuition fees and living expenses.
