Entry requirements

Undergraduate

We require a Título de Bachillerato when awarded after two years of upper secondary education or the Curso de Orientación Universitaria (COU) (Pre-University course). Students who pass the COU are not issued with a final certificate; instead, completion of Curso de Orientación Universitaria (COU) is noted within the academic transcript or Libro de Calificaciones.

Postgraduate

We require a Título Universitario Oficial de Graduado en [subject area] (Grado) or a five year Título Universitario Oficial de Licenciado / Ingeniero / Arquitecto (Licenciatura).

English language requirements

We will not accept a Spanish English language qualification as meeting our minimum English language proficiency requirements. Find out more about our English language requirements.

Degree preparation courses at the International College

If you complete your pathway course at the International College at the required level, you are guaranteed entry to a degree at the University of Brighton. Available degree subject areas include accounting and finance, art and design, business management, law with business, and many more.

If you're looking for a taste of home when you're in Brighton, you can check out Tinto Taperia for some authentic Spanish cuisine, for dishes that make you feel at home head to Casa Don Carlos restaurant, for something more laid back you can check out The Break Point Beach Cafe, and for a night on the town you should check out MARKET restaurant and bar.

There are also a number of societies you can get involved with where you can find like-minded people with similar interests which gives you the opportunity to be involved in society events to help you ease into student life and get familiar with the city. If you can't find a society that suits your interests then you can start your own society!
