Academic courses and credits
Students on study abroad programmes at the University of Brighton can choose to study a range of subjects.
Our courses offer a combination of the latest subject knowledge, practical experience and industry-standard facilities, with the aim of giving you a competitive edge in your career. You can choose up to three 20-credit modules per semester, one of which could include the British culture module.
Modules are timetabled at the beginning of each semester; classes that run in the fall are not then offered again in the spring, and vice-versa.
Module options for the 2025-26 academic year will be updated in the spring. Please check the module options tab then for more information.
Classes are negotiated with students on an individual basis prior to arrival and are subject to availability and suitability. In case your module preferences are not available, we require you to consider a good number of options.
Our campuses
We have three main campuses in Brighton – Moulsecoomb, City and Falmer.
Moulsecoomb campus is our largest student campus and is home to most of our academic schools, including:
- School of Applied Sciences

- School of Business and Law
- School of Humanities and Social Science
City campus is our most central Brighton campus, just a few minutes walk from the iconic Royal Brighton Pavilion and the pier. This campus is home to our School of Art and Media.
Our Study Abroad Office is based on Falmer campus, nestled in the South Downs countryside and located next to Premier League football club, Brighton & Hove Albion. This campus is home to the School of Education, Sport and Health Sciences.
