In addition, Camilla was awarded the Cockpit Arts/National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies’ David Bell Memorial Award which supports designer/craft makers with product ideas connected with music, offering workshop space and funding.
Camilla developed her designs at the university before she graduated last year with a BA(Hons) in 3D Design and Craft.
She said: “The creative environment of the University of Brighton was such an incredible place. You can’t help but feel inspired by everything there. My course mates and tutors gave me a whole new way of looking at design, by focusing on unusual processes of using and creating materials. The emphasis on the craft of making, rather than just product designing, really changed the style of my work.”
