In the 2016 Global Fashion Schools survey, the courses are ranked 13th best in the world overall and the best in the UK for value and students’ learning experience.
The survey was carried out by Business of Fashion – the resource for fashion creatives, executives and entrepreneurs in over 200 countries.
Craig Higgins, course leader for Fashion with Business, said: “We are delighted with the news – this reinforces the university’s position among the elite institutions for fashion and design.”
The university’s alumni include fashion designers Emily Diamandis of Rag and Bone, Brighton’s Gresham Blake and Ong Oaj Pairam who has designed gowns for the likes of Hunger Games actress Natalie Dormer.
Business in Fashion’s survey was completed by over 10,000 students and alumni with input from global fashion influencers, and fashion school academics.
The university was ranked 13th overall, 5th in the world for learning experience, beating all other UK institutions, and 2nd globally for long-term value, again beating all other UK institutions.
The survey said: “Students [at Brighton] ranked their work placements the highest in our survey, with 96 percent of students satisfied or very satisfied with their placements.”
