The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) has launched a new Engineering Horizons Bursary scheme for students on an IET-accredited engineering or technology course.
Winners receive at least £1,000 per academic year and mentoring and work experience placements through the IET’s networks.
Bradley Roberts, studying for his degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Brighton, said the bursary will help him buy software and books for his course: “Also, to have the resources of IET behind me will give me greater confidence to achieve more.”
His ambition, he said, is to gain his degree and then progress at Spellman High Voltage, the world-leading supplier of precision DC high voltage power supplies, X-ray generators and Monoblock® X-Ray sources for medical, industrial and scientific applications.
