The 2017 Global Fashion Schools survey, run by Business of Fashion, the website for fashion creatives, executives and entrepreneurs, placed the courses seventh in the country.
In the ‘Long Term Value’ category – based on student feedback on preparedness for the real world and satisfaction about employment opportunities – the university was third in the UK and fifth in the world.
Placements at Brighton were ranked highest in the survey, with 96 per cent of students satisfied or very satisfied with their placements. The university’s facilities, library, workrooms, campus and technology all received 90 percent satisfaction rates.
The table is based on surveys with more than 10,000 current and past students from 73 participating institutions around the world.
Craig Higgins, course leader for Fashion with Business, said: “This reinforces our position among the elite institutions for fashion and design. The success is reflected in our graduates being recruited to positions at top international fashion houses.”
