The University of Brighton’s Green Growth Platform has organised the event in partnership with the Brighton-based environmental consultancy Greenmetrics.
‘Sustainability in Action’ is designed for small to medium sized businesses and will cover why sustainability is important, which green measures can have the most impact and how to communicate green credentials to the outside world.
Zoe Osmond, Director of the Green Growth Platform, said: “Being a green business has numerous benefits. It can reduce your running costs, improve your reputation and brand, help engage your employees and open up new business opportunities. The Sustainability in Action workshop aims to help local business realise those benefits in a fun and interactive way.”
The Green Growth Platform is a network of green-focused businesses in Sussex and the South East. Members can access a menu of business support, innovation and R&D support, access to funding, events, collaboration and skills development.
The workshop costs £99 per delegate, including lunch, and takes place at Hove Business Centre in Fonthill Road, Hove, on 5 June, from 9am to 2pm.
