If you are normally resident in England and are studying for a social work qualification, you may be eligible for an NHS bursary to help you with cost of your course.
These bursaries are administered by the NHS Business Services Authority on behalf of the Department of Health and are available in:
- years 2 and 3 of eligible undergraduate courses
- both years of eligible postgraduate courses.
Nationally, there is a restriction on the number of social work bursaries provided each year by the Department of Health, so not all social work students will receive them.
Full-time social work students in all years of study who are not in receipt of the Department of Health's social work bursaries are eligible to be considered for the University of Brighton's own.
To apply and for further information, visit the website for NHS Social Work Bursaries.
