NHS bursaries will no longer be available to students starting an undergraduate course in nursing, midwifery, podiatry or physiotherapy from September 2018 onwards. You will need to apply to Student Finance England for a loan to cover your tuition fees and living expenses.
Occupational therapy
If you started the Occupational Therapy BSc(Hons) degree in academic year 2018-19 you will be eligible to apply for an NHS bursary for living expenses. You will need to apply to Student Finance England for a tuition fee loan.
How to apply
Once you have accepted our offer, please visit the NHS website to create a Bursary Online Support System (BOSS) account and apply online.
Paramedic practice
Existing awards for students offered a place on the Paramedic Practice BSc(Hons) are currently under review by the government's Department for Health and Department for Education: this means students starting this course in September 2018 may no longer be funded by the NHS. If this is the case, students will have access to standard Student Finance loans.
The outcome of the review is expected in early 2018, and we will provide details of funding arrangements when they become available.
