2016
This one-day conference was hosted by Coventry University at the end of May 2016. The event was held in their state-of-the-art Engineering and Computing building.
The event celebrated the benefits and successes of the collaborative work between companies and academic institutions through Knowledge Transfer Partnerships. There were fantastic networking opportunity for current and former KTP Associates, their academic and industrial supervisors and all those with an interest in KTP.
Associates also had the chance to present a poster and deliver an oral presentation showcasing their project and work to other Associates, academics and companies in attendance.
2015
This one-day conference was hosted by the West of Scotland KTP centre, using a University of Brighton format.
It included a keynote speech from a former KTP Associate and presentation sessions from KTP Associates, focusing on the transfer and embedding of technology, knowledge and innovation.
2014
The 2014 KTP Associates Conference was hosted by the University of Brighton, who conceived the conference format and have been running it for many years.
The event marked a new era in which the event will be taken on by the KTP community and rotated between UK universities. Over 60 delegates from 28 universities attended.
Jugal Desai, former KTP Associate with Dando Drilling International and the University of Brighton and shortlisted for the Business Leader of Tomorrow.
He inspired the audience with his presentation: 'Partnership between my career dream and KTP', which made an intriguing analogy between Formula 1 and being a KTP Associate. The conference continued with the first paper session covering 'Engineering and Product Design'.
A highlight of this session was a presentation by Ana Gallego of Chas A Blatchford and Sons and TWI Ltd on the development of a new generation of smart prosthetic liners. Each of the 20 poster presenters pitched their posters in a rapid fire session which covered topics from fuel cells to residential rehabilitation in under 40 minutes.
Nicola Pether of Philips and the University of Leeds delivered a strong pitch, using scaremongering tabloid headlines to demonstrate the need for her project on addressing the benefits and concerns of NHS medical records databases.
The afternoon ended with two paper sessions, one on 'Operations management and retail' which yielded the prize-winning paper from Veronica Malley, and a second on 'Chemistry and the Environment' which included the runner-up, Jen Hulse.
2013
The 2013 KTP Associates Conference in Brighton was a great opportunity for KTP Associates to get together and exchange their experiences of delivering innovation and strategic change.
The one-day conference featured 10 paper presentations. The keynote speaker was formed KTP Associate Filip Jicinsky, Sales Operations Executive with Lidl Czech Republic.
2012
The 2012 KTP Associates Conference in Brighton was a great opportunity for KTP Associates to get together and exchange their experiences of delivering innovation and strategic change.
The one-day conference featured 14 paper presentations and 9 poster presentations on a range of topics, and was an excellent networking event.
Our keynote speaker was former KTP Associate Gaynor Heys, now a senior global product manager with Adidas.
2011
The 2011 KTP Associates Conference in Brighton was a great opportunity for KTP Associates, academics, supervisors and companies to get together and exchange ideas about the delivery of innovation and technology.
The one-day conference focused on presentation sessions from Associates on a broad range of topics and was an excellent networking event
The conference was held at the Jury's Inn, Brighton and featured 16 paper presentations and nine posters.
