The University of Brighton is working in partnership with NatWest and Brighton and Hove Chamber of Commerce to support entrepreneurs in developing their start-up businesses through the Entrepreneurial Spark Programme.
The programme focuses on getting businesses ready for investment through training, mentoring and competitive pitching for business.
The visit gave 23 Marketing students first-hand experience of a thriving business environment, and the opportunity to meet the Entrepreneurial Spark team including a high-growth, start-up business.
The group was led by Senior lecturer, Dan Bennett, who was keen for his students to learn about the connection between knowledge and practice. Al Start, Managing Director of Go Kid Music, who produces educational music for young children, delivered a lecture about her experience as a start-up business entrepreneur and the process of Reflective Learning.
