Skills - training and education
The Hub will provide novel teaching methods, including access to higher education pathways, workforce training, and trialing innovative recruitment methods to close staffing gaps.
Research and knowledge exchange
It will serve as a center for research, data sharing, and collaboration between various health and community organisations to tackle societal health challenges.
Innovation and testing
The Hub will be a place for testing new health products and services, including virtual care and other technological innovations.
Community services
It will support outreach treatments in areas like podiatry, physiotherapy, and nutrition and offer space for NHS and local authority services to operate.
Collaboration and partnerships
The Hub will promote collaboration through a network that connects academia, the NHS, local authorities, and community organizations. It will also host events and offer a safe space for community services to meet and collaborate.
School partnerships
The Hub will work with schools to promote health education and provide opportunities for students from disadvantaged communities to access health-related training and placements.
