The School of Art has long been the beating heart of Brighton’s thriving cultural, music and arts scene, producing skilled practitioners and artists across a range of disciplines. Now, adults who want to experience what has made it so successful are able to sign up to a range of creative courses this summer.
Among the opportunities on offer are classes to create your own Kimono, make jewellery and learn about Slow Fashion – all targeted for a range or abilities from beginners to improvers. The courses will run during July on weekdays and weekends.
Tara Dean, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Research and Enterprise at the University of Brighton said: “We are very excited to open the doors of the School of Art and to be launching this rich, new programme of creative courses. I’m sure that in a thriving cultural destination like Brighton, these unique summer experiences will be immensely popular.”
Art and Design at Brighton is ranked 8th among universities in the UK and in the top 40 globally, according to the QS World University Rankings 2019.
