Nina Fisher – who graduated this year with Illustration BA(Hons) – has been chosen as a finalist at the Toronto Indie Filmmakers Festival, following her beguiling final year animation Mr Bird Watcher being awarded Best Animation at the Match Box Film Festival, and an Honourable Mention at the Roma Short Film Festival.
Fellow 2021 Illustration graduate Noah Kulman, meanwhile, has just won the Thames-Side Print Studio Prize at the Royal Society of Printmakers Original Exhibition at Bankside London.
Roderick Mills, Course Leader for Illustration, said: “So great to see the success of graduates Nina Fisher and Noah Kulman, after their endeavours amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, showing determination, resourcefulness and resilience in the making of their work. It's good to see individual visual voices finding currency in the professional world as they establish their illustration practice, across varying media - something our illustration course is well known for.”
