A three-part series of workshops – ‘Net Zero 360: Become a sustainability pioneer’ – will take businesses through the steps needed to reach net zero, including measuring their carbon footprint, creating an action plan and accessing university support to make innovation plans happen.
The Net Zero 360 package also includes a free online carbon calculator, enabling businesses to generate a comprehensive carbon footprint measurement. It covers all three carbon emissions’ scopes set out in the Greenhouse Gas Protocols and is compliant with the Science Based Targets Initiative.
Clean Growth UK Director Zoë Osmond announced the new offer at Race to Net Zero, an event organised by Silicon Brighton, featuring a keynote by Surfers Against Sewage founder and former Eden Project director, Chris Hines MBE.
Zoë Osmond said: “We are very excited to launch Net Zero 360. We are offering businesses oodles of support to understand their carbon footprint and get ahead on the net zero journey. Our online carbon accounting tool is complemented by net zero workshops. And it doesn’t stop there. Net Zero 360 is connected into our Innovation Accelerator, Clean Growth Fast Track and funding services which will help you tap into growing demand by creating the low impact products and services your customers are calling for.”
The University of Brighton’s Green Growth Platform launched in 2014. Since then it has helped businesses raise over £2 million in R&D funding, created over 300 green economy jobs and helped develop over 70 new products and services.
The Green Growth Platform builds on the University of Brighton’s strong track record in working with businesses and supporting low carbon and environmental business growth.
