The UK's 25 million houses account for around 15% of the nation's carbon emissions, and the event on 23 February - entitled The Future Of Housing - brings together academics with energy and construction stakeholders to look at disruptive thinking and decisive action to map future demands in terms of technology, regulations and behaviour change required to make housing carbon neutral.
The debate is being overseen by Clean Growth UK, a platform partnership offering guidance towards a low carbon future, led by the University of Brighton with complementary hubs at Liverpool John Moores University and University of Portsmouth. Ticket proceeds from the event will be donated to the housing charity Shelter UK.
