We are currently seeking to recruit Governors who have leaderships skills in accountancy, finance, legal policy, HR policy and Higher Education. Experience of equality, diversity and inclusion policy, remuneration policy and the creative implementation of IT solutions in a teaching and learning environment would also be of value.
Governors will bring thoughtful contribution to Board meetings, be principled yet innovative, with a willingness to be challengingly constructive and strategically focussed.
Mark Burch, Chair of the Board of Governors at the University of Brighton said: “We need a diverse Board, made up of colleagues with different backgrounds to give us a strong pool of experience to draw upon.”
The current Deputy Chair retires from the Board in July 2023. The Board would like to recruit for this position with a view to succeed as Chair when Mark Burch retires in 2024.
As well as leading the board, the Chair will bring inspiration and judgement as the University responds to challenges and delivers an ambitious strategy.
The closing date for all applications is Monday 17 October 2022.
