Advice for international engineering students

International students applying for the following engineering degrees also need to apply for an Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate.

  • Aerospace Engineering MEng
  • Mechanical Engineering MEng

Students who are nationals of an EU or EEA country or Switzerland, Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, or the USA do not need an ATAS certificate regardless of their course.

Please make sure you read the UK government’s advice on ATAS before making an application to us.

Full-time undergraduate degree courses

For most full-time undergraduate degrees you should apply to UCAS. However, if you already know that you want to study at Brighton, and do not intend to apply to other institutions then you should apply direct to us using our online application system.

Contact us on 01273 644644 before you begin your online application so we can confirm this is the right route for you.
